This is my neighbourhood
and I love it here! 

Friendly faces greet me on my walks, so many friendly dogs to meet and play with, the ice cream truck (whose schedule I still can't quite figure out) playing their song and enticing kids of all ages, grandparents and parents walking their children to school or pushing strollers on quiet tree lined streets.


It feels like home and truly offers an amazing community vibe.


Some of my favourite spots to walk to in the area include;

I have raved about their coffee on many occasions in my social media posts but you really need to experience it to know. My favourite drink is their oat milk latte. If you are early enough in the day you can get the most delicious homemade amaretti cookies you have ever tasted!

My go-to place for plants, planters, unique gifts and friendly chats. They offer a curated selection of beautiful art and home decor items as well. Every time I am there I find something new and interesting.

After being a regular for over 2 decades at Rachel's Nail Nook in North York I needed to find somewhere local for my manis, pedis, facials, etc... my research pointed me in the direction of the St Skintones and I have never looked back.


These ladies do a great job every time and are so much fun. Not to mention, the place is so pretty and cozy! Their online booking system makes booking a breeze for those of us who only remember to take care of these personal needs at odd hours.

WOW! How many times have I driven by that little joint on Oakwood without noticing it? So glad to have finally discovered what I believe to be some of the BEST jerk in the city! Friendly service and quality ingredients at excellent prices. Could it get any better? 

Go for the bagels, the sandwiches, the veggie cream cheese and the beet gravlax. While you wait (don't worry, the wait is never long) for your turn, peruse the amazing selection of cookbooks and cute greeting cards among other items for sale.


It is a favourite in my household and once you try it, you will know why!
